Izabela Norin
Development Scientist 

Izabela defended her doctoral thesis in dermatology on University of Uppsala and also received her title of Master of Science and Engineer in organic chemistry from Warsaw University of Technology. She has been working at Omega Pharma Nordic AB (previously known as ACO HUD Nordic AB) since 2001, developing a broad variety of cosmetic products and also performing claim support studies and basic science research. 

She is passionate about research regarding skin barrier function and its response to various skin care products. She loves to develop new formulations, and is still searching for a formula of a “perfect face cream”.

Marjut Kamppinen 
Product Developer 

Marjut from Finland started as SCANCOS board member in November 2015. She graduated 1987 from Tekniska  läroverket i Helsingfors, having that time her specialty areas within  Process Technology and Chemistry. 

Starting her career during late 1980's, and all 1990's, she worked as product developer within cosmetic and detergent industry  (Sinikos, Trekos),  but moved 2002  to sales and worked as Product or Industry Manager (Algol Chemicals, Brenntag, Azelis).

Since summer 2014, she returned back to her roots, and is currectly working once again as product developer and  legislation responsible in Teampac Oy.  Teampac is a contract manufacturer mainly for cosmetic and toiletries, biocide, cleaning  and medical device products.

Josefin Adlerberth
Chemist at H

Josefin has been a member of the board since November 2017. She holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering in the field of Biotechnology from Lund University, having had part of her education taken place at Melbourne University and performing her master thesis studies at a hospital in Beijing.

For the last couple of years, Josefin has been working at the fashion retailer H&M at their Head office in Stockholm. As a chemist she ensure that cosmetic and chemical products, developed together with European suppliers, are safe and compliant to the regulations in the 40+ different markets in which the products are sold.

Heli Nevalainen
Product Manager

Heli is currently working at IMCD Finland as a distributor of cosmetic ingredients. She has previously worked at DuPont as Technical sales manager in the cosmetics field.

She holds a degree in Bachelor of Beauty and Cosmetics. Heli graduated from the University of applied sciences at Laurea in 2008. Her first professional career was as a hairstylist. After that she worked as a teacher in vocational school for hairstylists.

Silje Nome
Product Developer

Silje has been a member of the board since November 2014. Silje has a Master in Technology in the field of Chemistry & Biotechnology from The Norwegian University of Life Sciences from 2011. 

A year of work in a chemistry contract lab with focus on marine biotoxins followed before she extended her education with a one year Teacher Education Program. The following year she worked as a high school teacher in chemistry, mathematics and geography. It was first in 2014 Silje entered the world of cosmetics at Lilleborg and the board of SCANCOS in November the same year. At Lilleborg she is a product developer and is working with different personal care products in the Lilleborg portfolio.

Anna Larsson
Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Manager

Anna has been a member of the board since November 2016. She received a Master’s Degree in Engineering in in the field of Biotechnology from Lund University, Sweden in 2014. Her degree included an exchange year at Guelph University, Canada and a Master’s Thesis which she performed at The University of Sydney, Australia. Her master’s thesis was a research project investigating the link between dietary aromatic amino acids and obesity.

Throughout her education, Anna always dreamed of working in the cosmetics industry, a field where she could combine her enthusiasm for science and research with her passion for aesthetics. Since 2015, Anna is working as a Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Manager at Kosmolet; a Danish beauty brand that is known for their skin-friendly profile.
